Designs by Goatweed - So last year I'm on the playa with Faery Girl and Eyefleye we were on our way to go dancing when we passed a bar on the Esplanade. It was just your average playa bar with an all night drum circle but what drew us in was the couch they had not the drums. It was unoccupied and it was calling to us.... Well the three of us spent the next six or so hours on that couch and seeing that Faery Girl and Eyefleye had on their big furry coats it was mighty comfy. Of course being on a couch with two beautiful women for six hours is pretty darn cool in itself and the conversation was good and the coats, well they kept us warm. Now several hours passed and it was getting late but nobody was really keeping track of time except the bar owners. They went up to the drummers and said you guys would go all night and we need to go to sleep, so they collected all the drums and drum sticks and all the drummers left. A couple more hours passed and the bar owners said to the last few people sitting at the bar, we're closing up. So they packed up the bar for the night. Then they came to us on the couch. Well they looked down at us and we looked up at them and they said.........you guys can stay and off they want to bed. Well another couple of hours went by and the sun was coming up and it was time to head back to camp. We noticed a few people sitting at the bar and it turns out they were some of the bar owners. We apologized for monopolizing their couch and thanked them for their hospitality. I myself had such a good time I told them I was interested in purchasing the couch but they needed their couch and off we went. But back to the coat. Now since Faery Girl and Eyefleye are downright kind hearted and generous, they decided that I needed a big furry coat of my very own so they had this one made and gave it to me. I actually got it back in December but Burnal Equinox last weekend was the first time I actually busted it out aside from sleeping in it the night I got it. It was made by our friend Goatweed, who hails from Los Angeles and he's got a website www.goatweedy.com with all kinds of pictures and a Facebook fan page and well the mans a poet with fur, a regular Sultan of Stitch. He asked me what I wanted and I sent him a movie clip of some Yetis from one of The Mummy sequels. Well it turns out he worked on that movie so he knew just what to do and he set me right up. It's a great coat. It's got all kinds of interior and exterior pockets, a hood and it's probably got a few features I haven't even found yet.
